Week #14 The Days of Miracles Has Not Ceased

Wow,  what a week. It has been fantastic to be a missionary here in Germany.  Some days it is a struggle but other days, I know I would not want to do anything else.
This last Sunday we had a special meeting with Elder Ballard.  It was for all the members and it was such a good meeting. Elder Ballard focused on why we need to spend time listening to the Spirit. Another big point was thst we need to believe in miracles,  particularly with missionary work. He told a story of when he was in Ethiopia ans gave a humble prayer that it would rain for  the people suffering there. It began to rain later that night and it POURED. Miracles are possible and I have seen it already.  This email is going to be a different style; I want to share what miracles I have seen this week. You guys ready? Let's go.

Miracle#1- Ana
This was a fantastic moment. We got a random text from a self referral from Mormon.org. Her name is Ana. She speaks Portuguese and has a member friend in Brazil. She asked if we could meet and we were going to  set an appointment but she had to cancel due to family reasons. She is still studying our stuff on gospel library and we are staying in touch. The miracle is just how much she wants to learn. She taked our message seriously and has a strong dedire to continue learning. What an incredible person!

Miracle #2- Bernie
As I said last week, Bernie asked for a break but we still stay in contact.  We invited him to a member appointment and he almost came. The miracle is how he is still keeping in contact and has somewhat interest. He is a great guy. He just needs to learn his way.

Miracle #3- Said
Yes, his name is Said but pronounced differently. Anyway, I keep running into him during finding. Last time, he needed help finding a pharmacy and we decided to help. Because we guided him to a nearby pharmacy, we building better trust and we confirmed an appointment for next week. It is amazing how God puts people in our paths. Often, it works out better than we hoped.

Miracle #4- Godwin
Godwin's situation is complicated.  Only his dad can drive but he is always on business trips so it is really hard to get him to church. Luckily, our train passes let us take people on our tickets on the weekends. We figured out a way to pick him up at the station by his home and take him to church. The miracle is trains on Sunday often get really delayed or fall through but it worked out so smoothly.

Miracle #5- The Book of Mormon and Isaiah
This week for Personal study,  I have been comparing the Isaiah chapters in the Book of Mormon to the ones in the Bible. It is something that I have been curious about. It is interesting how the chapters are different ans how the version of God's voice in the B of M version is more merciful. The B of M version also makes more sense.  The miracle is Joseph could not have memorized those chapters and made the change. Compare 2 Nephi 27 to the Bible. It is so different and there is more truth from the Book of Mormon. The miracle is how incredibly powerful the Book of Mormon is for us. I don't think we could ever fully realize the impact it has in our lives.
Moral of the stories: The days of miracles has not ceased and it will not cease. They may be small but they are miracles. Just being here feels like a miracle. I hope I can recognize more miracles the rest of my mission and for the rest of my life.

Hope you guys have a great week. I love you guys and pray for you always.
