Week #6 Goodbye England MTC.... Hello Germany!

Mason was unable to write a blog email this week due to traveling to the Alpine German mission home in Munich, Germany from England.  Instead we have a few pictures of his final days at the England MTC and a kind letter from Sister Brown.

Upon his arrival we received this kind email and pictures from his mission president's wife.  He looks happy and we know he is in good hands.  Excited that he will be in Ulm, Germany the next little while.

Hello Evans Family!

We are delighted to tell you that Elder Evans arrived safely in Munich yesterday afternoon.  He has been fed at our home, taught, well cared for, and is now on his way to his assigned location with his new companion.
We thought you might enjoy these pictures from our meeting this evening.

Elder Evans is pictured below receiving news that his new companion will be our previous Assistant who was present that night. They look so happy!! As you can see, Elder Evans will be in good hands!

His new companion is named Elder Kaufusi and they will serve together in Ulm, Germany.

We are thrilled that he is here and we are grateful for his preparation and enthusiasm. We found him to be steady and true. He bore a strong testimony that was very touching about how he has always wanted to be a “good boy". He spoke of his feelings about the Book of Mormon and the Savior. He likes people and will be a wonderful missionary. His eyes shine and his heart is pure. We feel so grateful to have him! We love him already and we will do all we can to help him have a successful mission.

Your son’s preparation day is on Tuesdays, and that is when he will be emailing you each week.  We also have a mission blog if you would like to see occasional pictures of what is occurring in the mission.  The address is: alpinemission.com. More pictures of him will be posted on this website under “new arrivals” in a few days.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.  We know that the Lord will bless you and your family during the next two years as you support your missionary in his service. Thank you for sharing him with us and the Lord!

Warmly,

President and Sister Brown
