Week #67 Chopping wood and Revelation
Hi everyone!
What a week. Went by so quick. Well nothing I can do except tell you about it...
Yeah today we got to chop some wood. We live by the Bishop right now and we helped cut some wood with this awesome machine they own. You put a log underneath the blade and it cuts it into 4 pieces. We then stacked it next to their home. It was a fun service project and then they fed us brunch!

Updates on our friends... Marina could not meet this week or come to church but we are still in contact and we will try again for church this week. We also met with a new friend named Matthais. He is from Bayern and he has had some religious experience. He thinks God has no association with any religion but he does believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God so I am not sure how that works but he took a Book of Mormon and we see him again on Friday!
We also met with a friend named Veronica. She was very open at first but once we offered the Book of Mormon, she kind of stopped. She is very funny but religion does not mean a lot to her. We also met a less active this week who left the Church over 40 years ago and he had a few concerns with the Church. He also wants nothing to do with religion but he was very friendly. I mean it is part of the world we live in. I have noticed that sometimes that religious indifference can be quite a stumbling block. It is hard to share the Gospel with people when they just do not care but we just keep on going as we always do.

We also had zone conference yesterday and it was wonderful! I saw a lot of old mission friends and it made me even more excited to be a part of this work. We had a great training on joint teaches and understanding revelation. We also discussed some new things going on in the mission and in the church. We really do have inspired leadership in this mission and in this Church. What a great work to be a part of!

Sunday was my first sacrament meeting in Innsbruck. I had to play piano last minute and I made a few mistakes so pretty much sight seeing is not up my alley. I did give a talk as well and I focused on the idea of revelation through the Holy Ghost. I used the story of Peter's testimony as an illustration. To me, it is interesting that those who saw the Savior did not really know who He really was, similar to today. They saw Him, heard him, and witnessed miracles. And then they thought he was some prophet from the Old Testament. The story is also wonderful when Peter testifies of Christ. On my mission, my love for Peter has grown so much. He is such an incredible hero from the scriptures! Anyway, I find it also interesting how Christ points out that Peter did not get his testimony from flesh and blood but from Heavenly Father. Peter probably had more contact to the Savior than most and he even needed a spiritual witness that Jesus was the Christ. Reading that story again inspired me to seek out revelation more and trust the Holy Ghost more. God really wants us to know things but we have to work throug the right source first!
I wish you all a wonderful week! Love you!
