Week #53 I never thought I would be here a year ago
Hey everyone! What's up? Last week was so fast and we are already in the middle of July. And the additional fact that I am already a year out on the mission comes into play. It is interesting to live the life of a missionary, es pe especially in a trio.

I got to live the trio life this week. It was weird because I was not in my area but I still got work done. It was a good experience. I am with Elder Sommerfeld and Elder Bushman right now from Wien 3. They are really good missionaries. I have learned a lot from them this week. The apartment I was in has enough room for another companionship and the Wien 1 elders live there. They are also lots of fun and hard workers. It was a killer week.
There were still challenges nevertheless. We had a zone activity where we went into Mariahilferstraße and handed out Books of Mormon. It was something that we have not done in Wien before. We talked afterwards and discussed how it became more difficult as more missionaries went in and more Books of Mormon are handed out. It helped me to see how doing something really good does mean that opposition will come but the Savior has provided a way to overcome all opposition- His Atonement combined with the Spirit. It was a great day to be a missionary.
Jonathan had his baptismal interview and he passed! Not really a surprise but he is going to be baptized on Saturday! I remember starting to teach him and now we are already here! Time sure does fly.
A miracle happened yesterday after the interview. Elder Sommerfeld did the interview but later found out that he lost his wallet. We looked around for a bit and then we got a call from my GML (ward mission leader). He said someone called him saying a lady said she found the wallet. My GML receives calls for the church in Wien if people have questions or want materials. The lady found that number and called him. She happened to live at the same place as Jonathan. We had told no one really at that point. We picked up the wallet and the small problem was solved.
One last thing before I finish. We had transfer calls on Saturday and I found out that I will be training! I was not expecting that but I am so excited! I do not know who he is yet but I will find out tonight! Onto transfer #9. Weird to think about but I couldn't be more grateful for this last year. It has been fun, hard, weird, overwhelming, and uplifting. One more special year to serve the Lord. Let's do this!! Wahoo!!! Talk to you guys next week!
Elder Evans
Saying good bye to Elder Tunnicliffe. He was my zone leader and he was an inspiring missionary. He is heading home this week but good byes are part of the mission I guess.
